Happy Easter to you and your pets!

We hope you will enjoy the time off and longer days!
A few things to keep in mind during this festive season:

• Keep the chocolate away from your pets, and especially dogs (that includes the wrappers!)
• Do not feed your pets any leftovers (hot cross buns often have raisins, sultanas, and currants and these can cause fatal kidney failure in dogs)
• Be sure to keep flowers and bulbs away from your pets – spring flowers are often poisonous (tulips, daffodils, lilies of the valley…)

And in case something bad happens, call your veterinarian immediately (during the out of hours, there will always be a number to call). You can also use an online vet service – there often is one free available with your pet insurance.

If you can, keep the packaging and/or take a photo of the item / food / plant ingested, so that your veterinarian can see exactly what your dog has eaten.
